Paper and poster submissions are handled via the GD 2010 submission page at EasyChair. Accepted papers and poster descriptions will be published in a volume of Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science.

Paper submissions are invited in two categories:

• research papers: Papers in this category describe original and unpublished research on algorithms, methods, arguments, results, applications, or directions that are relevant for graph drawing. These include position papers and case studies in application domains. Research papers can be long (up to 12 pages) or short (up to 6 pages), depending on depth and complexity of the content.
• system demos: Papers in this category describe the design, implementation, evaluation, and/or use of systems for graph drawing, or in which graph drawing or interaction with graphs form a core component, and focus on technical aspects. These may, but do not necessarily, involve novel graph drawing approaches. System demos should be written concisely, and are thus limited to 6 pages.

Papers can only be submitted in pdf via the GD 2010 submission page, but may be accompanied by supplementary material such as video. The following table indicates the maximum length of a submission.

Submissions deviating from these guidelines or uploaded past the deadline of June 7, 2010, risk rejection without consideration of their merit. Submission of substantially similar papers to other conferences with published proceedings or simultaneous submissions are not allowed.

Poster should be designed for ISO 216 size A0 (841mm x 1189mm) and accompanied by a summary of no more than 2 pages. Descriptions of accepted posters will be included in the conference proceedings. Posters should be submitted as an attachment of the description by August 16, 2010 (23:59 UTC -8h), and we offer to print them locally.
